Mr. Peter Diehl, Consultant, Lightspeed PM. Mr. Diehl is a leading expert in Business Continuity and Incident and Emergency Management. He has managed Business Continuity for major corporations such as Asurion Insurance Services, Tekmark Global Solutions/Lucent Technologies, and AT&T, both as a senior manager and as a consultant. He holds certifications from the Disaster Recovery Institute and the Business Resilience Certification Consortium International. Over the course of his career he has developed an exclusive Toolkit for developing risk assessments and business continuity plans. He teaches the Center's intensive one-day workshop on Business Continuity Planning. His extensive experience will help businesses recognize and mitigate risk, as well as minimize the disruption that occurs when disaster strikes.
Mr. Ronald Kramedjian, CEO, Enterprise Energy Solutions. Mr. Kramedjian's teaches Project Management for the Center, and also provides Center clients with custom solutions to project management challenges. His project management career spans decades and crosses several industries, including Information Technology, Manufacturing, Real Estate Finance, and Sustainable Energy. He has managed high value projects for companies such as Comdata, Global Medical Realty Capital, and NetContent. His project management expertise includes both large teams and small, multi-site and single site, new initiatives, turnarounds, and on-going development. Mr. Kramedjian's insight into both the technical and the human side of project management helps Center clients deliver high quality within time and budget constraints.
Dr. Dennis Haskins, VP for Planning and Effectiveness, Martin Methodist College. Dr. Haskins teaches Project and Team Management in Martin Methodist's Center for Executive and Professional Development.
Dr. Haskins brings extensive academic credentials and real-world experience to Martin Methodist College. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering from the prestigious Purdue University program, as well as a Bachelor’s in Theology from San Diego Bible College. He holds the MBA from Chapman University, a Masters in Education from Lipscomb University and a Doctorate in Education from Tennessee State University. He also holds numerous certificates in a variety of technology applications.
Dr. Haskins’ teaching experience has ranged from teaching in the US Navy’s submarine nuclear power program to teaching a wide range of management and statistics/analysis courses in Martin Methodist’s business programs.
As a Marine Corp officer, he rose through the ranks culminating in managing a $500 million budget for the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center. As a senior project manager for a development firm, he oversaw large development and construction projects. As an entrepreneur, he was an early innovator who founded an internet provider company which was acquired by a telecommunications company. He is currently Martin Methodist College’s Vice President for Planning and Effectiveness, where he continues to bring his innovative ideas and broad experience into the business school and executive program classrooms and the college’s administration, as well as to regional businesses he advises.
Dr. Cheri Thomas, Executive Director, Center for Executive and Professional Development, Martin Methodist College. Dr. Thomas teaches Negotiations and Conflict Management and Business-to-Business Marketing.
Dr. Thomas combines extraordinary academic qualifications with an extensive professional background. She holds both an MBA and a Doctorate from the Harvard Business School (both With Distinction). She has taught at both the Harvard Business School (MBA Program) and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (MBA, Doctoral, and Executive Programs).
Her extensive business experience includes both consulting and line management with profit-and-loss responsibility. Some of the positions she has held include Senior Vice President at Mathematica Policy Research, a public policy research leader; Senior Vice President managing the sales force at Arthur Consulting Group, an international economic and valuation consulting firm, Chief Investment Officer for a healthcare real estate investment trust, and Managing Director in the Capital Group of Newmark Knight Frank, an international commercial real estate company. She has consulted extensively in sales force management, corporate strategy, and international expansion. Her clients have included companies such as AT&T, Estee Lauder, SC Johnson, and Combustion Engineering, as well as many smaller entrepreneurial companies.
She engages with business executives and professionals to inspire and encourage them to master the leading edge concepts used in business today, to develop their managerial skills, and to share her belief that business done right is a benefit to all its stakeholders: shareholders, employees, customers, and suppliers.
Dr. Eric Stalions, Associate Professor of English, Martin Methodist College. Dr. Stalions teaches English for Business.
Dr. Stalions has focused his considerable talents on international education and helping international students, community members, and business people improve their English skills. He emphasizes meaningful real-life communications at home, at work, and in the community, as well as English skills as they apply to business people, medical professionals, engineers, scientists and others with focused language needs.
He has taught extensively both in the US and abroad. Examples include the International Language Institute (Groton MA), Western Kentucky University, Valparaiso University’s INTERLINK Language Center, Bowling Green State University, and the Institute of Banking in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (sponsored by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA). He serves in an oversight role for the Pai Chai International Summer School (PAISS) in Daejon, South Korea.
At Martin Methodist College, his ESL and TESOL courses include Writing, Listening and Speaking, ESL Methodology, and Second Language Acquisition. He also teaches courses in Advanced Writing (including technical and business writing) as well as other courses in the English and ESL curriculum. As the Director of Martin Methodist’s Intensive English Program, he coordinates curriculum, cultural events, and recruiting efforts, and initiates and manages agreements with partner institutions abroad.
He holds a Ph.D. in English from Bowling Green State University (Bowling Green, OH), and both a B.A. and an M.A. from Western Kentucky University (Bowling Green, KY).
